Job Details

Purpose

To manage the production within the business unit whilst achieving agreed budgetary and service levels. The role will also be required to maintain accurate inventory, manage production planning, and provide leadership to the production teams.

Skills Required

·        3 – 5 years’ experience in similar environment

·        Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse, transport, rail, and container handling activities.

·        Operations Management experience.

·        Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain/Logistics or any relevant field

 

Roles & Responsibilities

·        Responsible for developing and implementing operational strategies, goals, and objectives aligned with the overall business strategy.

·        Manage the movement of goods into and out of facilities to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, or sustainability of operations.

·        Continually maximise space utilisation through effective space planning and stacking and storage principals. Where possible improve on the current standards.

·        Implement quality control measures, conducting inspections, addressing non-conformities, and working closely with the quality management team.

·        Monitor and analyse warehouse operations and performance metrics to identify areas of improvement.

·        Collaborate with various stakeholders, including other departments, senior management, customers, and external partners, to align operational objectives and address any issues or concerns.

·        Collaborate with clients, and logistics partners to ensure a smooth flow of materials, inventory management, and timely deliveries.

·        Contribute to new business initiatives and projects; review and communicate the impact on warehousing activities.

·        Ensure a safe working environment for employees and compliance with health and safety regulations.

·        Implement safety protocols, conduct risk assessments, and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.

·        Collaborate with SHEQ in the implementation of the environmental management or sustainability programs addressing issues such as recycling, conservation, or waste management.

·        Create and maintain detailed records and reports of warehouse operations.

·        Compile and submit comprehensive reports to management as and when required.
