Key responsibilities:

  • Growing the SI institutional client and asset base
  • Retention of existing institutional
  • Actively manage the client experience of SI’s service delivery and execution of SLA
  • Formulate Account Plans for all clients in specific client area, allocated by Segment Head
  • Work closely with head of business, other account executives, business heads in SI and Sanlam Group colleagues in terms of developing overall client strategy and implementation plans
  • Influence overall profitability of clients by meeting targets, as agreed with Segment Head
  • Act as the key interface between the client and SI (including capability factories as well as other Sanlam distribution teams) as well as acting as a SI brand ambassador
  • Understand client needs in order to identify and price appropriate capabilities simply and effectively
  • Independently prepare and deliver effective tender documents, presentations, and client feedback reports in order to defend the current book as well as grow client share-of-wallet
  • Actively use and leverage capability of a cluster wide CRM

Minimum requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree, preferably commercial (e.g. Com, B.Bus.Sc);
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification would be advantageous (e.g. CFA, MBA)
  • At least 5 years experience in institutional asset management, with middle office experience being an advantage
  • Strong understanding of the corporate landscape, service providers and key needs of retirement funds
  • Undergraduate degree, preferably commercial (e.g. Com, B.Bus.Sc); Relevant postgraduate qualification would be advantageous (e.g. CFA, MBA)
