Job Details

A business focusing on local and international VAT recovery, along with other solutions, is looking for an organised, personable and hard-working individual to join their sales team and focus on the UK and Irish markets.

As a Business Development Manager, you will be working directly under the Head of Sales to close contracts with potential clients and promote client relationships. This role will provide you with the opportunity to earn commission on top of a basic salary. There is a lot of growth in the company and the role provides the candidate with an opportunity to learn from other parts of the business.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES, NOT LIMITED TO:

  • The full sales cycle from initial lead generation through to closing the deal
  • Researching potential targets and targeting a range of companies from sector specific campaigns
  • Solution led, making use of a consultative approach in understanding customer needs to offer a tailored service
  • Demonstrate excellent knowledge across various products offered, finding the best fit for the client
  • Pipeline management for reporting purposes and productivity analysis
  • Business Development – sourcing Net New Business through identifying new clients from UK and Irish markets
  • Mentoring and guiding Business Development Representatives (cold calling team) in developing prospecting strategy
  • Proficient at Microsoft excel and outlook, ideally experience with Salesforce or other CRMs
  • Comfortable working to targets and achieving KPIs set by management

REQUIREMENTS  

  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Excellent phone and email etiquette (good grammar and sentence structure)
  • Persistent and able to follow-up consistently using various mediums
  • Personable, professional and empathetic as well as comfortable speaking with people
  • High energy level, internal drive and quick learner
  • Resilient, ability to withstand rejection, receive feedback well and sales driven as well as open to learning
  • Target and money driven mentality seeking rewarding results with a desire to develop professionally within the business
  • Travelling will be required

Desired Experience

  • Proficient and excellent command of the English language with attention to detail
  • Satisfactory High School and/or University Results
  • Previous sales experience with demonstrable results
  • Some cold calling experience a prerequisite
