Job Details

The ideal candidate will have the requisite experience and competency to ensure the effective operation and profitability of the companies hospitality and residential units of our client. 

Responsibilities:

Finance:

  • Develop the division’s business plan and budgets for exco and board approval.

  • Manage procurement authorisations, deal with budget variances and take corrective actions.
  • Maximize all aspects of profitability and productivity whilst maintaining the brand standards of service and quality.

Management:

  • Direct and manage the operational property and financial performance of the precinct.
  • Maintain effective communication at all levels of the company.
  • Oversee the management and compliance of SLAs.

Customer Service:

  • Monitor guest, tenant and supplier satisfaction and execute improvements in conjunction with the unit managers as required.

Maintenance & Governance:

  • Ensure the precinct complies with all statutory laws and regulations.
  • Ensure regular building, furniture, fittings and equipment inspections to determine CAPEX and OPEX requirements for refurbishment, repairs and/or maintenance in conjunction with the unit managers.

People:

  • Support the HR function to ensure employee motivation, development and compliance with policies, procedures and relevant national policies and regulations.

Sales & Marketing:

  • Support sales to increase market share by attracting more customers to drive higher revenues.
  • Support the marketing of the precinct’s services and facilities.

Capability required:

  • Degree in Business Administration or similar. (MBA or similar advantageous).
  • Strong understanding and competency with financial modelling and metrics together with the development and execution of and effective strategy and resulting business plans.
  • 5 years plus Senior Management experience in the hospitality, property or construction sectors.
  • 5 years plus proven track record in executing a business plan & achieving operational & financial targets. 
  • 5 years plus experience in asset management in terms of cost management, utilisation and profitability.
