Overview:

The role is based on a skilled, detail oriented and results-driven Quality Engineering Analyst to apply testing principles and identify test procedures to ensure product quality and should possess expertise in test management tools. As a Quality Engineering Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of the system under test and its adherence to the business requirements. You will be responsible for analysing requirements, designing test cases, executing tests and reporting results using Test Management tools.

Responsibilities:

·Requirements Analysis: Engage with stakeholders to grasp Business Rules, processes, and specifications; analyse and clarify requirements for thorough test coverage.
·Test Design: Contribute to test plans, test cases, and scripts based on business rules, screen designs, or API specifications based on swagger rules. Ensure alignment with standards and coverage of relevant scenarios.
·Test Execution: Execute test cases using appropriate test tools. Conduct functional, regression, and interoperability testing as required.
·Defect Management: Log, prioritize, and oversee defect resolution, collaborating with development and QA teams for efficient resolution..
·Test Reporting: Create and update thorough test documentation, including results, metrics, and traceability matrices; communicate progress, risks, and issues to the project team and stakeholders.
·Test Data Management: Collaborate with stakeholders to collect and prepare accurate test data representing the system under test, ensuring its availability and integrity.
·Test Environment Management: Collaborate with Infrastructure or DevOps to establish and maintain test environments, ensuring their availability and stability.
·Test Automation: Identify automation opportunities and partner with the automation team to create and maintain test scripts using suitable tools.
·Test Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve testing processes, proposing and implementing best practices, methodologies, and tools to optimise efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

·Three year National Diploma, or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or information Systems.
·Proficiency in utilizing tools for test management and defect tracking.
·Experience in test design, test execution, and defect management.
·Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
·Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
·ISTQB or similar testing certification is a plus.
