You will:

  • Manage Daily Operations: Oversee day-to-day operations of the transport department to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Driver Coordination: Arrange and schedule drivers for trips, ensuring optimal routes and timely deliveries. Manage driver availability and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Trip Booking: Book and manage trips, ensuring that all logistics are handled efficiently and that all relevant information is communicated to drivers and clients.
  • Client Communication: Keep clients updated on the status of their shipments, address inquiries, and resolve any issues promptly to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Tracking Systems: Utilize and manage advanced tracking systems to monitor fleet performance, route efficiency, and delivery statuses. Ensure accurate and timely updates.
  • Technical Proficiency: Leverage technology to streamline operations, including the use of transport management software and other relevant tools.
  • Problem Solving: Quickly identify and resolve operational issues, including handling disruptions, delays, and other challenges that impact service delivery.
  • Team Leadership: Foster a positive and productive work environment, providing guidance and support to team members. Encourage a proactive approach and continuous improvement.
  • Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
  • Attention to detail of load confirmation and verify capacity of load with the client.
  • Compile daily transport reports and records.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with our Transport partners.

Qualifications:

 

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the transport industry, with a proven track record in an operations management role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in using tracking systems, transport management software, and other relevant technology.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, drivers, and team members.
