Job overview:

As a Talent Acquisition Lead, you will work together with the other People Team members & Leads across the business. You will have the opportunity to work in diverse areas of talent acquisition and talent management, handling various tasks from identifying, attracting, assessing, retaining and advancing internal and external talent.

As a Talent Acquisition Lead at Dream Resorts you will play a crucial role in identifying, attracting, and acquiring top talent to meet the company’s strategic objectives. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive talent acquisition strategies, managing the end-to-end recruitment process, and collaborating with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs.

Key Pillars for this role:

1.      Strategic plan

Under the guidance of the People Tribal lead, developing and implementing dynamic strategies which are in line with the companies vision to attract the right people to work for the company.

2.      Attraction and brand representation

You will be responsible for implementation of the attraction strategies envisaged in the recruitment strategies. You will be expected to work closely with the marketing BU to ensure that the employee brand is presented correctly in the market.

3.      Placements

You will be responsible for the full cycle of recruitment. The group operates many subsidiaries and associates who will all fall within the ambit of this process. It will be expected that monitoring, guidance and management of resources within these entities may form part of what is needed to implement the strategies envisaged.

4.      Culture

As a prominent face within the group it will be expected that you grow and foster the culture set by leadership in all facets of your professional arena. You will be expected to represent the group at public events where with the intentions of enhances the employee brand and group presents.

DELIVERABLES

1.      Strategic planning & insight

–        Develop and implement effective talent acquisition strategies aligned with the company’s goals and growth plans.
– Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to enhance recruitment processes.

–        Support the People Lead with people data that contributes & builds expertise in: sourcing strategies, talent pool management, hiring trends & challenges, as well as workforce planning updates

–        Identify surface trends in both qualitative and quantitative data to help improve our Talent attraction & acquisition plan.

2.     Full-cycle Recruitment:

– Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selecting candidates.
– Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements, create job descriptions, and establish selection criteria.

– Elevate recruitment practices to enhance recruitment processes

 

3.     Candidate Engagement:

– Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with potential candidates through proactive networking and engagement efforts.
– Ensure a positive candidate experience by providing timely and constructive feedback.

 

4.     Employer Branding:

– Enhance the company’s employer brand by promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
– Develop and execute employer branding initiatives to attract top talent.

 

5.     Collaboration and Communication:

– Work closely with hiring managers and Leads to understand their recruitment needs and provide strategic guidance.
– Maintain clear and open communication with candidates, hiring teams, and other stakeholders throughout the recruitment process.

 

5.      Metrics & reporting

– Utilise recruitment metrics to track and analyse the effectiveness of talent acquisition strategies.
– Provide regular reports and insights to leadership on recruitment performance.

6.      Lead the Team

–        Provide leadership and guidance to the Talent acquisition team

–        Monitor team members’ performance and provide the necessary guidance and coaching to perform at the expected levels.

–        Be accountable for all the results of all Talent Acquisition team members.

Implement plans and guide team members to whose results are substandard to meet the expectation set by the company.

–        Continuous assessment and feedback.

–        Weekly Department meetings

–        Quarterly OKR review meetings with the navigator

Feedback to team members on areas of good and bad performance with necessary adjustments.

KNOWLEDGE NEEDED TO DO THE JOB COMPETENTLY

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
5 years of experience in talent acquisition, with a proven track record of successful hires.
Strong understanding of the Hospitality & Tourism industry and the ability to identify and attract top talent.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools.
Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
Proactive and results-oriented mindset.

Required for Competence

  • Experience with in the Hospitality & Tourism Industry
  • Recruitment & talent sourcing experience
  • Strong written & verbal command
  • Successful & proven track record in recruitment
  • Project Management
  • Microsoft 365 suite (Planner, Excel a must)

Industry experience (nice to have)

Tertiary qualification: Relevant HR or HR related Degree
