Job Details

A business designing, building, and implementing world-class, innovative ICT solutions is looking for an IT Technician to work within the Engineering team to provide IT support to the company as a whole. 

Location: Ndabeni, Cape Town, South Africa

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES, NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Installation of new Desktops, Notebooks, Printers, Operating Systems and Hardware 
  • Maintenance, troubleshooting and upgrading of computer hardware, software, networks, and peripheral equipment 
  • Managing and maintaining the Microsoft Operations environment 
  • Maintaining Servers and Workstations in a Microsoft and Linux Domain 
  • Microsoft Exchange 
  • Networking (cabling, DHCP, static IPs, wireless setup and support) 
  • Provide PC preparation services including imaging, user set-up and application installation and configuration 
  • Perform PC rollouts 
  • Provide technical installation support for Office and Windows environments  
  • Provide basic Document Management support 
  • Install and maintain automated backup and anti-virus software 

REQUIREMENTS  

  • A+ Certification 
  • Microsoft Office  
  • Microsoft Windows 
  • Antivirus Software (various) 
  • Remote tools VNC, Teamviewer etc 
  • Backup Procedures 
  • Network protocols TCP/IP 
  • Installation of GSM devices 
  • Installation of ADSL Routers and Wireless Access Points 
  • IP Subnetting 

Additional Skills a bonus: 

  • Any Microsoft certification 
  • N+ 
  • Linux experience 
  • Proficient in UT or any FPS 
  • Familiar with Pastel Accounting and VIP Payroll
