You'll be the go-to expert selling cutting-edge nitrogen and hydrogen gas generators that keep LC-MS, GC, and GC-MS systems humming smoothly – slashing costs, ditching gas cylinders, and letting labs focus on what they do best: game-changing research.

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Hit the ground running in your South African territory, juggling pharma, biotech, government, and academic clients with flair.

Build a killer sales funnel, chase leads, make cold calls, and craft proposals that scream value – turning prospects into loyal fans

Nail consultative selling: unpack customer needs, demo product wizardry, and recommend spot-on gas solutions for their labs

Shine at trade shows, forge rock-solid ties with chromatography and mass-spec manufacturers, and keep the CRM buzzing with daily updates

Team up with the Sales Manager to plot a territory business plan that smashes annual targets and fuels strategic wins

Track orders, forecast like a pro, monitor competitors, and drive market penetration to keep our gas generators top of mind

Nurture customer relationships for repeat business, handle receivables smoothly, and collaborate across teams for growth opportunities

 

REQUIREMENTS

Sharp communication skills to chat confidently with decision-makers, customers, and teams – plus the knack for solo hustling

Autonomous vibe: ace time management, prioritise like a boss, and travel to clients without missing a beat

Analytical edge for strategic selling, grasping lab ops to tailor perfect solutions

Tech-savvy with Excel, Teams, and Sharepoint – and the confidence to close deals that matter

Bonus points for sales experience, market penetration savvy, and CRM mastery in the chromatography/mass-spec space

ESSENTIALS

BSc Hons / MSc in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline |

>2 years’ sales experience within a scientific, lab, or technical environment (advantageous) | 

Hands on lab experience & a solid understanding of lab workflows & analytical techniques related to techniques such as: LC-MS / GC-MS / ICP-OES / FT-IR | 

Excellent communication, presentation, & interpersonal skills | 

Self-motivatedtarget-driven, and able to work independently |

Strong organisational and time management skills | 

Willingness to travel extensively |

Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle |

South African citizens only, (with valid passport, ideally).
