Role Summary:
We are seeking to appoint an experienced Interior Designer to provide technical design and cutting support to our Commercial Team. This role is critical to operational efficiency and future growth and will work closely with all salespeople across the business while reporting directly to the Commercial Lead. The successful candidate will ideally come from a kitchen design company or a similar technical design environment and must have proven experience in kitchen and vanity design, cutting processes, and detailed material specification.
Key Competencies:
• Provide technical interior design support to the Commercial and Sales teams.
• Prepare and compile accurate cutting lists to support production and installation.
• Design and specify kitchens, vanities, and associated installations.
• Work with and specify materials including slabs, countertops, basins, vanities, and tops.
• Produce and review designs incorporating step bullnoses, pool bullnoses, basin cut-outs, slab layouts, and edge finishes.
• Ensure all designs and specifications are technically accurate, commercially viable, and aligned with client requirements.
• Collaborate closely with sales staff to ensure seamless handover from design to execution.
• Maintain strong attention to detail and ensure all documentation is production ready.
Minimum Requirements:
• Qualified Interior designer
• Proven experience in kitchen and vanity design (essential).
• Previous experience within a kitchen company or similar technical design environment.
• Solid understanding of cutting processes, slab layouts, and edge detailing.
• Experience working with basins, vanities, slabs, and countertop materials.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced commercial environment.
• Professional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
