CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Dive into strategic HR partnership, aligning people power with business goals from stores to head office.
- Collaborate with leaders on workforce planning, succession, organisational design, and change management
- Deliver HR analytics and insights to fuel smart decisions
- Guide recruitment end-to-end, building talent pipelines and scouting top channels for efficiency
- Lead performance and talent management to unlock peak potential.
- Oversee reviews, incentives, bonuses, and coach managers on development
- Spot high-potentials and roll out retention strategies
- Handle employee relations, grievances, onboarding, and drive engagement, wellbeing, diversity, and inclusion
- Master payroll and compliance in a multinational setup.
- Process accurate monthly payrolls, commissions, and bonuses using Workday, Sage VIP People 300, Eco Time, and banking integrations
- Forecast budgets, reconcile reports, and flag variances
- Ensure statutory compliance with UIF, EMP201, IRP5, Employment Equity, and BBBEE submissions
- Own compensation, benefits, learning, and systems.
- Benchmark rewards, manage medical aids, provident funds, and contracts
- Coordinate training, skills plans, and HRIS enhancements
- Jump into global projects for process improvements
- Manage facilities, health, safety, and environmental ops.
- Oversee office maintenance, vendors, and projects like refurbishments
- Conduct audits, risk assessments, and promote sustainable practices
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, or similar
- 7+ years HR experience, including payroll, in retail, sports, FMCG, or fast-paced commercial environments
- Deep knowledge of South African labour laws, payroll regs, and best practices; multinational/matrix exposure a plus
- Proficient in Workday, Sage People 300, MS Excel, and Office suite
- HR or payroll certification advantageous
- Proactive, detail-obsessed, analytical, organised, with stellar communication and interpersonal skills
