Video Editor

Bring social media stories to life where high-tech equipment, pipelines, and real-world problem-solving meet engaging digital content. This role blends creativity and technical skill to showcase specialist products and on-site action across multiple platforms in a fresh, dynamic way.

CORE FOCUS

Create scroll-stopping video content that takes technical leak detection and inspection equipment and turns it into clear, engaging, and visually compelling stories for social media, campaigns, and digital channels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Film, cut, and edit video content for social media campaigns, product spotlights, client case studies, and on-site demonstrations
  • Turn raw footage into polished, professional videos with strong pacing, clean transitions, and a consistent visual style
  • Use AI-powered tools to speed up editing workflows, generate assets, and sharpen overall content quality
  • Add graphics, text overlays, captions, music, and sound design to boost impact and clarity
  • Repurpose long-form content into short-form, platform-specific clips for channels like TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn
  • Collaborate closely with the content and marketing team to align videos with campaign themes, brand tone, and target audiences in the industrial and technical space
  • Organise and maintain a well-structured library of footage, project files, and content assets for easy reuse
  • Keep an eye on social media trends and editing styles to keep content fresh, modern, and competitive

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5 – 10 years’ experience as a Video Editor, Content Creator, or similar role
  • Post-matric qualification in Film, Multimedia, Digital Media, or related field
  • Proven experience editing for social media and digital campaigns
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools in video production or post-production
  • Strong command of leading editing software (for example Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar)
  • Confident working with both on-site footage (warehouses, workshops, field work) and more polished studio-style content
  • Ability to translate technical or industrial subject matter into engaging, easy-to-follow visual stories
  • Self-disciplined, self-driven, and comfortable managing your own deadlines and workload
  • Strong eye for detail, pacing, composition, and storytelling

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT

  • Experience working with technical, engineering, industrial, or B2B brands
  • Comfortable planning basic shots and storyboards to maximise filming time on-site
  • Strong understanding of vertical video formats and social-first editing techniques
  • A showreel that demonstrates versatility across short-form and longer-form content
  • Turn complex, real-world work into compelling visual stories and make every frame count.
