SCOPE OF WORK

 

Profitability & Finance

  • Identify production efficiency and cost improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare and provide regular project progress reports, financial status updates, forecasts and compliance documentation to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and work to optimize project costs while maintaining a focus on quality and safety.
  • Prepare and submit monthly PC’s for each project
  • Identify and assess and mitigate risks – Commercially & Operationally
  • Ensure timely completion of Milestones / Key activities. Notify Client on any activities, that may give rise to not achieving the Milestones. Brainstorming with team of any possible remedial actions. Update schedule for Client on possible Recovery plan and how to achieve
  • Budgeting and Cost Control – Monitor to ensure budget adherence

 Data and reporting

  • Monthly progress reports
  • Monthly project forecast reports
  • Delay Reports (inclusive of cost)
  • Compensation Events summary and status report
  • Project Schedules (MS Project)
  • Monthly Finance Reports (Forecasts, cost reports, etc.)
  • Review daily diaries and sign off and for Client to sign off as well
  • Ensure weekly, monthly update of all applicable registers – HSE Stats, Training, Employee Register, Delay Register, EWN register, VO’s register, NCR’s register, Risk Register, QC data pack register, Progress vs Planned Quantity Register, Efficiency Rate register, Commercial register on weekly & monthly reporting, Deviation Schedule & Register, QC Inspection Register, etc, but not limited to.
  • Immediately report any deviation on the schedule, or scope of works being executed and not in line with the project schedule

Management

  • Stock & asset management

  • Risk Management – To identify and assess potential risks, develop mitigation strategies
  • Contract Management – Review and negotiate contracts with sub-contractors suppliers
  • Manage contract and contractual claims
  • Client interface and customer relationship management
  • ensure that Site Managers, QC, Supervisors, etc understand and are familiar with the specifications, method statements, operational procedures expected on the workface
  • Identify and manage risks associated with construction activities and develop strategies to mitigate these risks, minimizing disruptions and delays.

Business Development

  • Provide input on tender preparation and estimating.
  • Sourcing of organic project or sales leads within the client base operating in.
  • Project Planning – PEP, MAP, Planning Schedules, P&E needed, Consumables, Project Budget implementation, Procurement Schedule, Allowable schedule,
  • Communication – Co-ordinate with stakeholders, subcontractors, engineers, Client members, with TMS-REDEC management

SHERQ

  • Ensure required SHEQ systems are in place on all projects (H&S file, QCP and related control docs, etc)
  • Interface daily with HSE on site, HSE to provide daily targets achieved, weekly update of statistics, weekly update of all HSE registers
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations on site
  • Enforce stringent safety protocols
  • Safety First and abide to statutory requirements

Personal Development

  • Oversee site operations with his subordinates, and ensure compliance with safety regulations, specifications, method statements, Client Requirements & operationally procedures. Manage and lead project teams, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure the project’s overall success.

Minimum Qualifications required

  • Matric
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field
  • Must be legally compliant as the 16.2 for lead execution
  • Relevant regulatory body registration
  • Must be computer literate
  • Legal Liability, HIRA, Microsoft Projects, PMP
  • Secunda based

Experience

  • 6 years Management experience as a Team/Projects Leader/Supervisor.
  • PMP preferred
  • 10 years’ experience, preferably in Petrochemical/Sasol
  • Proof of Scaffolding, Paint and Insulation
  • Evidence of strong client relationships
