Role Purpose
Responsible for supervising high-volume manufacturing operations across press, automated, and plating production lines. The role ensures production targets are met while maintaining quality, safety, cost control, and effective people management, with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
Minimum Requirements (Compulsory)

Technical or trade qualification (essential)
-
Minimum 5 years’ experience in high-volume manufacturing
-
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a production lead or management role
-
Minimum 5 years’ trade experience
-
Proven production management and staff management skills (non-negotiable)
-
Experience in press tool production lines, lathe production lines, and chemical plating plants
Qualifications (Advantageous)

Engineering or Production Management degree
-
Fitting & Turning or Toolmaking qualification
-
Knowledge of ISO 45001
Key Responsibilities
-
Execute daily production plans and achieve output targets
-
Monitor line performance and implement corrective actions
-
Balance labour and equipment to maximise throughput
-
Drive recovery plans when targets are missed
-
Conduct daily start-up meetings and production walkabouts
-
Investigate quality issues, drive root cause analysis, and reduce scrap and rework
-
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards
-
Coordinate maintenance, TPM, and breakdown response to minimise downtime
-
Enforce safety procedures, PPE compliance, and hazard reporting
-
Implement and sustain lean manufacturing principles (5S, visual management, waste reduction)

Supervise, mentor, and manage a team of 20–25 production staff
-
Ensure accurate ERP, production, WIP, and inventory control
-
Manage tooling and production resources effectively
-
Complete daily and weekly production reporting
