About the Role

The People Support Generalist delivers accurate, efficient, and people-centred HR support across the full employee lifecycle. This role plays a key part in ensuring seamless HR operations, reliable employee data, and responsive HR services that enable a positive, compliant, and engaging employee experience.

Working closely with leaders and Crew Members, the People Support Generalist supports onboarding, performance processes, engagement initiatives, and compliance, helping to create an environment where people thrive and organisational goals are achieved.

Key Responsibility Areas

  • Deliver accurate and efficient HR operations across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee movements, and exits.
  • Maintain compliant, audit-ready employee records and HR documentation in line with labour legislation, POPIA, and internal policies.
  • Support performance management, reward, and recognition processes through effective coordination, communication, and administration.
  • Enable a positive employee experience through engagement initiatives, surveys, events, and responsive HR support services.
  • Provide recruitment coordination, training administration, and HR systems support to ensure smooth workforce operations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of People Support processes, systems, and service delivery.

Experience & Qualifications

  • National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
  • 2–3 years’ experience in an HR Generalist or HR administrative support role.
  • Proven experience supporting the full employee lifecycle.
  • Exposure to employee relations, recruitment coordination, and/or learning and development support.
  • Experience in Retail, Customer Service, Warehouse, or Production environments is advantageous.
  • Strong working knowledge of HR systems (HRIS / ESS / ERS).

Knowledge & Skills

  • HR processes across the full employee lifecycle.
  • HRIS / ERP systems and employee record management.
  • South African labour law fundamentals.
  • HR documentation standards and confidentiality protocols.
  • Basic Excel skills and data handling capability.
