PA to the National Sales Director

Step into the heartbeat of a fast-paced national sales operation in the textile and interiors world. This role sits right at the centre of the action – supporting a driven National Sales Director and keeping a stylish showroom hub running like clockwork.

CORE FOCUS

This role partners closely with the National Sales Director, offering high-level administrative and organisational support, while also acting as an anchor point for the inland sales and showroom teams. Expect busy days, varied tasks, and plenty of interaction with people across the country (and occasionally across borders).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Administrative Support

Manage the National Sales Director’s diary daily – scheduling, reshuffling, and protecting time where needed

Prepare, type, and distribute accurate meeting minutes

Arrange local and international travel, accommodation and forex in line with company policies

Maintain regular contact with the National Sales Director while travelling

Draft, edit, and format documents, letters, reports and presentations

Handle confidential information with absolute discretion

Assist with personal errands for the National Sales Director when required

Compile and distribute Saturday work schedules

Handle ad hoc queries quickly and efficiently

Ensure company policies and procedures are consistently followed

Meeting Coordination

Schedule internal and external meetings and teleconferences, avoiding diary clashes

Organise weekly management meetings and Friday sales meetings

Book suitable venues and arrange catering where needed

Send reminders for key deadlines and upcoming meetings

Prepare and circulate meeting packs, documentation, reports and presentations in advance

Record and distribute accurate minutes before the next meeting

Follow up on post-meeting actions and ensure communication goes out within agreed timeframes

Reporting & Data

Pull reports from internal systems as required

Prepare and compile month-end reports timeously

Maintain and monitor a special price list spreadsheet

Showroom Liaison

Liaise with Showroom Managers to complete monthly showroom checklists

Keep clear records of showroom scores to support performance reviews

GENERAL SUPPORT

Support and assist Sales Managers in the absence of the National Sales Director

Assist with sales-related duties when needed

Update story boards in the boardroom to reflect current collections and campaigns

Take ownership of delegated tasks from management and see them through

Protect company and customer information at all times

Demonstrate initiative and suggest practical improvements

Create and maintain the annual travel roster, updating monthly or as required

REQUIREMENTS

National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)

Certificate or Diploma in PA/Office Management

At least 5 years’ experience as a PA in a sales-driven environment

Strong written and verbal English skills

Proven experience in events/meeting coordination, minute taking, report writing and database/records management

Confident user of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Solid admin and facilities/equipment coordination skills

Excellent decision-making, prioritising and time management abilities

Highly proactive, accurate and detail-focused

Resilient, patient, persistent and hands-on – especially when things get busy
