Join our team as an Area Sales Manager and drive success for two brands in our group in Mangaung! This exciting opportunity places you at the forefront of our business, leading a group of stores within the North region. You’ll play a key role in implementing our operational strategy to achieve maximum results across sales, shrinkage, costs, people development, and profitability.

Minimum requirements for the position are:
● Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Store Manager in a clothing retail environment.
● Demonstrated success managing a store or a cluster of stores for at least 3 years.
● Strong understanding of day-to-day retail operations, including sales management, stock management (shrinkage), cost control, and team leadership.
● Matric/Grade 12 is required.
● A retail/business/marketing management diploma is a definite advantage.
● Effective communication skills in English. Additional language skills are a plus.
● Proficiency in Google Suite or Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
● A valid driver’s license is essential due to travel requirements. (2 years driving experience is essential)
● The ability to manage travel within your area and potentially outside for business needs.
● Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with store teams and various departments across the company.

Key deliverables for this position will include:
● Develop and implement strategies to optimize profitability within your area by effectively streamlining processes.
● Exceed sales targets and drive consistent revenue growth across your assigned stores.
● Lead your team in maintaining compliance with company procedures and financial controls.
● Optimize staffing levels to ensure efficient operations across all stores in your area.
● Implement and monitor risk management strategies to safeguard company interests.
● Oversee effective stock management practices to minimize shrinkage and maximize stock availability.
● Provide clear and consistent leadership to your team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
● Effectively communicate performance expectations and coach your team members to achieve their goals.
● Implement project plans to ensure successful execution and achieve desired outcomes.

This position is based in Bloemfontein, Free State and will report to the Divisional Sales Manager for Brands – North region.
