Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee and manage the company’s financial operations on a part-time, half-day basis. The successful candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain strong internal controls, and support strategic financial decision-making while working within a reduced schedule.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions
  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports
  • Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements
  • Coordinate and manage year-end audits and liaise with external auditors
  • Maintain and improve internal financial controls and processes
  • Reconciliations (bank, creditors, debtors, etc.)
  • Support payroll processing and ensure accuracy of related accounting entries
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to management

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 5–8 years’ relevant accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with South African tax and regulatory requirements
