Job Title: Field Service Technician
Overview
We are seeking a technically strong and hands-on Technician (Millwright preferred) to install, calibrate, test, and repair specialised equipment. This role is primarily site-based and suited to someone who enjoys working in the field rather than in an office environment.
The successful candidate will be customer-focused, IT-savvy, and highly competent in equipment calibration, diagnostics, and testing procedures.
Minimum Requirements
Qualified Millwright (Trade Tested) or relevant similar technical qualification
Training and experience working with SANAS-accredited equipment and calibration processes
Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding experience
Proven experience repairing and maintaining machinery
Advanced computer literacy (comfortable working with touchscreen systems and software-driven equipment)
Valid driver’s license
Willingness to travel and work onsite
Key Responsibilities
Install, commission, and calibrate specialised equipment onsite
Conduct testing to determine machine pass/fail status
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software-related faults
Ensure equipment meets required compliance and calibration standards
Interpret and extract data from machine software systems
Maintain accurate service, calibration, and testing documentation
Provide professional and customer-focused technical support
