Job Purpose
- To deliver end-to-end HR services across operational sites, with a strong focus on Industrial Relations, ensuring compliance with labour legislation and supporting line management in all people-related matters.
- This role serves as the primary HR contact across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
Industrial Relations
- Manage disciplinary processes end-to-end (investigations, hearings, outcomes)
- Handle grievances and dispute resolution
- Represent the company in external dispute resolution forums where required
- Advise line management on labour law, procedures, and risk
- Ensure procedural and substantive fairness
Employee Relations & Advisory
- Act as a trusted advisor to supervisors and employees across sites
- Provide guidance on policies, procedures, and workplace issues
- Promote consistent and fair application of HR practices
HR Operations (Full Lifecycle)
- Manage onboarding, transfers, and terminations
- Maintain employee records and HR systems
- Support workforce planning with line management
- Ensure effective HR service delivery across multiple sites
Recruitment
- Partner with line management on hiring requirements
- Participate in interviews and guide fair, compliant selection decisions
- Review and approve shortlisted candidates provided through sourcing support
- Ensure recruitment processes are applied consistently and in line with company standards
Performance & Incapacity Management
- Support performance management processes
- Guide managers on poor performance and incapacity procedures
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour legislation and internal policies
- Maintain HR policies and procedures
- Support audits and inspections
Reporting & Insights
- Compile HR reports (headcount, absenteeism, IR trends)
- Provide input to the Commercial Manager on people-related risks
Key Competencies
- Strong Industrial Relations expertise
- Sound knowledge of labour legislation
- Ability to operate independently across sites
- Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Practical, hands-on approach
Minimum requirements
- Diploma/Degree in HR or Labour Relations
- 3–6 years’ HR generalist experience with strong IR exposure
- Proven experience managing disciplinary hearings and dispute resolution
- Experience in operational environments (advantageous)
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel between sites
