Minimum Requirements:
- Completed BCom Financial Accounting degree or similar
- Currently residing in Pretoria or willing to relocate
- South African citizen
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Professional, reliable, and presentable
- High level of integrity and professionalism
- Valid driver’s licence will be advantageous
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily processing of accounting transactions and maintenance of accounting records
- Import and process cashbook entries accurately and timeously
- Process monthly bank statement transactions and perform bank reconciliations
- Initiate and maintain bank reconciliations for all client accounts
- Process creditor invoices and perform supplier reconciliations
- Prepare and load creditor payment batches on banking platforms
- Maintain and reconcile creditor age analyses and resolve outstanding queries
- Process standard and ad hoc journal entries
- Manage debit orders and recurring financial transactions
- Assist with the preparation of management accounts and monthly reporting packs
- Draft and compile annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards
- Generate financial invoices, credit notes, and purchase notes as required
- Assist with taxation matters, including VAT, PAYE, income tax, and related compliance requirements
- Liaise directly with clients regarding accounting, tax, and financial reporting matters
- Support independent reviews, audits, budgeting processes, and year-end engagements
- Review work completed by junior accounting clerks and provide guidance and mentorship where required
- Maintain accurate filing systems, financial records, and supporting documentation
- Perform general administrative duties within the Accounts Department
- Contribute to overall financial reporting, compliance, and client service delivery
- Undertake ad hoc accounting and finance-related responsibilities as required
