Purpose of the role: Maintenance and expansion of existing clients, and generation of new business opportunities by identifying, contacting, and qualifying potential customers, in order to expand market share and grow revenue.
Requirements: Sales / Commercial related diploma or relevant higher certificate 5 – 10 years’ sales / commercial experience
Duties
• New Business Acquisition & Reactivation
– Source, research, and pursue new business to grow market share (including cold calling and external marketing).
– Recommend and target new customers in line with strategy.
– Re engage and win back lost business.
– Seamlessly onboard new customers.
• Account Management & Customer Success
– Maintain strong customer relationships with regular in person engagement.
– Ensure client expectations are met on site/in the field.
– Drive account growth via upsell and cross sell of products and solutions.
• Lead Generation & Systems Ownership
– Manage lead generation and ensure adoption of the lead gen system across the commercial team.
– Maintain accurate CRM/ERP reporting on sales pipeline and leads.
– Measure and report on sales system and funnel performance.
• Sales Operations & Performance Management
– Maintain consistent activity levels (calls, emails, sequences).
– Drive sales administration processes and manage weekly sales reporting.
– Implement and manage annual sales quotas by region and product.
• Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis
– Define ICPs and understand customer pain points and needs.
– Monitor competitors’ offerings, pricing, and strategies.
– Analyze market trends (e.g., technology, consumer preferences) and maintain market/client intelligence to anticipate needs.
• Product Development, R&D & Product Performance
– Translate customer needs into product requirements and implement new solutions.
– Drive product performance in market.
– Oversee and optimize R&D budget and spend.
• Brand Presence & Professional Development
– Participate in trade shows and industry events.
– Maintain professional and technical knowledge (workshops, publications).
