WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Strategy & Leadership

Lead the vision and roadmap for the CDP platform, collaborating with marketing, product, IT, and data science teams to unlock new possibilities

Champion CDP best practices across the organisation, positioning yourself as the internal thought leader

Identify and drive high-impact, data-enabled business opportunities that transform how the company connects with customers

Platform Management & Optimisation

Own the implementation and fine-tuning of the CDP platform, ensuring seamless data flows from CRM, billing, website, app, and network systems

Build and manage sophisticated data models, identity resolution strategies, and segmentation frameworks

Orchestrate integrations between the CDP and downstream platforms—email service providers, ad platforms, analytics tools, and beyond

Use Case Enablement

Transform business challenges into tangible CDP solutions: churn prediction models, upsell campaigns, personalised offers, and omnichannel experiences

Work hand-in-hand with marketing teams to activate audience segments and drive real campaign results

Develop audience segments with rigorous quality assurance and governance

Data Governance & Privacy

Ensure all customer data practices align with local regulations (POPIA) and internal privacy standards

Partner with legal and compliance to manage consent, data retention, and data protection requirements

Monitor data quality, accuracy, and completeness across all ingestion sources

Reporting & Insights

Track key CDP metrics—data coverage, identity accuracy, audience activation rates, and campaign performance

Deliver insights and recommendations that continuously elevate personalisation strategies

Keep teams informed on CDP capabilities and evolving industry best practices

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, marketing, or related field (master’s degree a bonus)

7+ years driving data-driven marketing, MarTech, or digital transformation initiatives

3+ years hands-on experience with CDP platforms, ideally in telecommunications

Proven track record working effectively in agile, cross-functional environments

A genuine passion for customer data strategy and its real-world applications
