Network Operations Engineer (L2)

We’re an established Managed Service Provider running a structured, monitoring-driven NOC environment and we’re looking for a Network Operations Engineer (L2) to join our team.

This role is not an end user helpdesk. It’s suited to someone who has already worked in an MSP or NOC, understands alert-based support, proactive system monitoring and is comfortable supporting multiple client environments using automation tools, processes, and SLAs.

Environment: 24/7 MSP NOC supporting Remote client sites

What You’ll Be Doing

• Monitoring live dashboards and alert queues (N-able RMM or similar)
• Investigating and resolving incidents across servers, endpoints, and networks
• Working tickets end-to-end in a PSA system (HALO or similar)
• Managing patching profiles, remediation, and recurring alerts
• Managing AV/EDR alerts and remediation.
• Escalating clearly to senior L2/L3 or vendors when required
• Documenting work properly and handing over cleanly between shifts

What We’re Looking For

Experience

• 3–5 years in an MSP or multi-tenant IT environment
• Hands-on experience with an RMM tool (N-able, Datto, Kaseya, NinjaOne, etc.)
• Experience working in a NOC or monitoring-driven environment
• Familiar with process and workflow automation, integration API’s and alerting.
• Comfortable working with SLAs, priorities, and escalation paths

Technical Skills

• Windows 10/11 and Windows Server (2012–2025)
• Active Directory (users, passwords, groups, permissions, GPO)
• Patch management and alert remediation
• PowerShell and scripting experience
• Competent Networking and Routing skills (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)
• Monitoring backups, AV/EDR alerts, and uptime
• Cyber Security alerts and investigations/escalations
• Working with system cloud controllers, Aruba, Cisco, Unifi
• Microsoft 365 / Azure AD (Entra ID)
• AI tools

Nice-to-Have

• N-able or HALO PSA experience
• CompTIA N+, Microsoft, Cisco, Mikrotik, (BSc), (BIT or BSc IT) certifications
• Entra/Azure, Linux, and VoIP exposure
