Fedics Healthwise, a leading provider of health-focused catering solutions, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Catering Project Manager to manage and oversee catering operations at a healthcare site in Nelspruit.
Purpose of the Role
The Catering Project Manager will be responsible for the effective management of catering operations, ensuring contractual compliance, service excellence, financial sustainability, and adherence to healthcare food safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall management of catering operations within a healthcare environment
- Ensure compliance with contractual, statutory, and Healthwise standards
- Manage budgets, cost control, and financial reporting
- Lead, coach, and develop onsite catering teams
- Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and patient satisfaction
- Foster strong client relationships and handle client engagements professionally
- Implement operational improvements and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Minimum Requirements
- National Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Food Services Management, or equivalent
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a catering or food services management role
- Proven experience in healthcare or institutional catering (advantageous)
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets
- Solid people management and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
- Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and HSE standards
