CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• You’ll be at the centre of it all, crafting reports that tell the real story behind the numbers and presenting them with confidence to execs who count on your expertise.
• Whip up monthly reports packed with analysis to spotlight key trends
• Deliver clear, compelling presentations to executive teams
• Spot risks in distribution channels and roll out smart systems to tackle them head-on
• Build budgets and forecasts that guide big-picture decisions
• Process and review draft trial balances every month for accuracy
• Handle balance sheet reconciliations with a keen eye
• Scrutinise daily payments and dive deep into supporting schedules
• Jump into ad-hoc projects, like rolling out IFRS17 implementations
• Prepare financial statements for investment sections under IFRS9
• Automate reports in VENA to save time and boost efficiency
• Draft annual financial statements, complete with notes and accounting policies
• Lend a hand during the annual audit to ensure everything sails through

REQUIREMENTS

• 2-3 years of post-articles and audit experience to the table – insurance know-how is a bonus in this space.
• Qualified CA(SA)
• Solid grip on Microsoft suite; Pastel experience is a plus
• Strong IFRS technical knowledge
• Sharp attention to detail and critical thinking
• Excellent communication, both written and verbal
• Interpersonal flair to collaborate seamlessly
• Ability to thrive under pressure, independently or in a team
