Technical Marketer
Role overview
Helpbox is looking for a hands-on Technical Marketer to help turn our existing content and traffic into booked sales calls.
We already have a strong content engine, including a YouTube channel with over 150,000 subscribers and more than 1 million views per month, plus an in-house team that can produce high-quality video content. This role is not focused on video editing, graphic design or content creation. The focus is on the technical marketing work that happens after the content is created: campaigns, funnels, automation, ads, tracking and conversion.
Key responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Building and managing marketing funnels from top-of-funnel traffic through to booked sales calls.
• Running paid media campaigns, particularly using video-based ad content.
• Setting up and improving marketing automations, workflows and nurture sequences.
• Managing email campaigns and lead follow-up journeys.
• Tracking campaign performance and reporting on ROI, conversion rates and what is or is not working.
• Improving the journey from lead capture to sales call booking.
• Working closely with the marketing, content and sales teams.
• Bringing technical execution as well as strategic input.
Required experience
We are looking for someone with:
• Strong technical marketing experience, ideally gained in an agency or performance marketing environment.
• Experience managing campaigns and funnels for multiple clients or business units.
• Good paid media experience.
• Strong knowledge of marketing automation tools, such as GoHighLevel, HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, Mailchimp or similar.
• Good understanding of analytics, attribution, conversion tracking and reporting.
• Experience creating nurture workflows and email campaigns.
• Ability to work hands-on, not just manage or advise.
• Strong written and spoken English.
Nice to have
The following would be useful but are not essential:
• Experience marketing to UK small businesses.
• Experience in accountancy, financial services, business services or B2B lead generation.
• Experience working with video-based ad campaigns.
• Some understanding of YouTube as a traffic or lead-generation channel.
• A more technical background, for example software, CRM, automation or web development experience.
What this role is not
This is not primarily a creative design role.
The person does not need to be:
• A graphic designer.
• A video editor.
• A content creator.
• A YouTube strategist.
We have internal capability for content and creative production. The key requirement is someone who can take high-quality content and turn it into measurable leads, booked calls and revenue.
