We seek an experienced Bookkeeper for an exciting position that will cover comprehensive bookkeeping and accounts administration across multiple entities.
Key Responsibilities:
General Bookkeeping:
– Monthly cashbook processing, bank recons and petty cash management
– Prepare monthly management statements and annual budgets
– Month-end and year-end closing procedures
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
– Process supplier invoices, manage payments and perform reconciliations
– Maintain customer accounts, process invoices and manage collections
– Handle supplier and customer queries
Systems & Cash Management:
– Export/import Clubmaster invoices into Pastel accounting system
– Weekly cash-up reconciliations across entities – we are a cash-free business
– Coordinate with department managers on processing issues
Payroll (all entities):
– Process monthly payroll and manage leave administration
– Handle employee setup/dismissals and weekly casual payments
– Submit monthly PAYE, SDL & UIF returns and annual reconciliations
– Maintain employee records and leave balances
Requirements:
– Bookkeeping qualification preferred or equivalent relevant experience
– Experience in performing the full accounting function alone
– Experience in working with different entities across a company/group
– Proficiency in Xero
– Proficiency in Clubmaster system a bonus
– Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
– Knowledge of SA tax and payroll regulations
– Good communication skills
– Great team player – happy to be part of a small team and have a hands-on approach
– Must live nearby
