Accounts Receivable Accountant – Debtors
Dive into the fast-paced world of digital finance where every payment counts and cash flow keeps the engine roaring. You’ll be the sharp-eyed guardian of debtors’ books in our clients credit loans finance team, juggling daily disbursements, slick reconciliations, and query-busting heroics to keep everything ticking over smoothly.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Picture this: you’re at the heart of it all, ensuring month-end reports land bang on time while nailing those tight deadlines.
- Whip up spot-on debtors’ reporting for month-end, chasing down every detail
- Handle customer receipts, settlements, and refunds with laser precision – reconcile them fast and flawlessly
- Fire off daily disbursements to customers, linking up with sales and underwriting to sort their needs pronto
- Keep a crystal-clear query log, execute instructions without a hitch, and reconcile disbursements every single day
- Tackle debtor queries head-on, smashing SLA turnaround times every time
- Nail daily bank recs and cashbook processing like a pro
- Dish out monthly receipts data to stakeholders who need it fresh
- Scrutinise debtors’ ageing reports, zap irregularities, and keep the books pristine
- Spot and fix errors in system flows into the Finance ERP, drawing on solid accounting know-how
- Team up with collections, risk, devs, and call centre crews to resolve issues before they snowball
- Process write-offs, recoveries, and debt collector receipts accurately and on the dot
- Minimise unallocated receipts and suspense accounts through proactive hustle
- Manage intercompany transactions and billings each month
- Balance general ledger and sheet recs, plus journal entries and ad-hoc invoicing
- Stick to internal controls, document everything meticulously, and back audits with ease
- Jump into ad-hoc analysis, reporting, or whatever the Financial Manager throws your way
WHAT YOU BRING
- You’ve got the quals and experience to hit the ground running in this high-energy finance setup.
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance – non-negotiable
- At least 5 years in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or analysis
- Excel wizardry (plus Word and PowerPoint mastery) and ace with financial systems
- Proficiency in AI and data analytics to supercharge your game
