SPECIFICATION

The primary purpose of the Senior Brand Manager role is to work with the Chief Marketing Officer in all aspects of marketing to achieve the company’s goals. The successful person will be required to strategise on the brand aspects, identify and evaluate new digital technologies, use analytics tools to measure and better optimize marketing campaigns for lead generation, email marketing, social media and display and search advertising.

 

Responsibilities

  • Analyze brand positioning and consumer insights
  • Shape and communicate our vision and mission
  • Translate brand elements into plans and go-to-market strategies
  • Manage a team of marketing people working on brand initiatives
  • Lead creative development to motivate the target audience to “take action”
  • Establish performance specifications, cost and price parameters, market applications and sales estimates
  • Measure and report performance of all marketing campaigns, and assess ROI and KPIs
  • Monitor market trends, research consumer markets and competitors’ activities
  • Oversee new and ongoing marketing and advertising activities
  • Monitor product distribution and consumer reactions
  • Devise innovative growth strategies
  • Align the company around the brand’s direction, choices and tactics

 

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in marketing
  • Experience in brand marketing with a good track record of results in a similar role.
  • Strong strategy experience
  • A working knowledge of online advertising and analytics as well as social media platforms for organic and paid strategies (and all other strategies we haven’t thought about)
  • Innovative and with your own opinion
  • Communicate complex concepts to individuals on all levels in both written and oral form.
  • Make business insights of analytics across platforms.
  • Stay ahead of competitor information and market trends.
  • Think creatively but also put structure and implementation plans to strategic goals.
  • Excellent time management, work on multiple tasks, shift priorities as necessary and organise tasks to meet pressing deadlines.
  • Adapt and respond to change, cope with pressure and setbacks.
  • Attention to detail and excellent command of the English language.
  • Approachable, highly responsible, efficient, organised, confident, capable and self-motivated.
