ROLE OVERVIEW 

Edward Snell & Co. is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Demand Planner to join our Supply Chain team in Cape Town. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 

  • A 3-year B Degree / 4-year Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or similar is essential.
  • CIPS/CPIM would be advantageous. 
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a planning environment.
  • Demand planning, S&OP management and supply planning in the FMCG industry.
  • Shipping and materials planning would be advantageous.
  • MS Office competency, highly competent in Excel
  • Experience with planning/demand/forecasting tools.
  • SAP or similar ERP experience would be advantageous.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Actively engage in the end-to-end Sales and Operational Planning Process, with a focus on demand & supply planning.
  • Support the Material Planning process as well as the execution of the material plan and finished goods volumes for the production team.
  • Ordering stock from suppliers and principals to fulfil customer demand and maintaining service levels.
  • Ability to provide stock analysis to drive profitability and maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Resolving issues where stock does not arrive on time in full.
  • Ensure that the monthly production schedule is aligned with forecasts to ensure delivery in line with sales requirements.
  • Work in conjunction with the Planning, Logistics and Sales to guarantee order fulfilment in line with customer requirements.
  • Maintaining all documents relating to supply chain processes in accordance with shipping and quality requirements.
  • Communicating informed risks within the business to key stakeholders.
  • Managing the forecasts and co-ordination of raw materials and production for various third-party/contract bottlers.
  • Supporting ad-hoc forecasting and planning processes.
