ROLE OVERVIEW
Edward Snell & Co. is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Demand Planner to join our Supply Chain team in Cape Town.
QUALIFICATIONS AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- A 3-year B Degree / 4-year Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or similar is essential.
- CIPS/CPIM would be advantageous.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a planning environment.
- Demand planning, S&OP management and supply planning in the FMCG industry.
- Shipping and materials planning would be advantageous.
- MS Office competency, highly competent in Excel
- Experience with planning/demand/forecasting tools.
- SAP or similar ERP experience would be advantageous.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Actively engage in the end-to-end Sales and Operational Planning Process, with a focus on demand & supply planning.
- Support the Material Planning process as well as the execution of the material plan and finished goods volumes for the production team.
- Ordering stock from suppliers and principals to fulfil customer demand and maintaining service levels.
- Ability to provide stock analysis to drive profitability and maintain optimal stock levels.
- Resolving issues where stock does not arrive on time in full.
- Ensure that the monthly production schedule is aligned with forecasts to ensure delivery in line with sales requirements.
- Work in conjunction with the Planning, Logistics and Sales to guarantee order fulfilment in line with customer requirements.
- Maintaining all documents relating to supply chain processes in accordance with shipping and quality requirements.
- Communicating informed risks within the business to key stakeholders.
- Managing the forecasts and co-ordination of raw materials and production for various third-party/contract bottlers.
- Supporting ad-hoc forecasting and planning processes.
