Service Engineer / Junior Project Engineer CORE FOCUS OF THE ROLE

Expect a healthy mix of on-site action and structured project work. One day could be commissioning new equipment and training operators; the next could be planning a new installation or tightening up maintenance systems to keep plant operations humming.

Plan and execute small to medium projects from concept through to completion

Manage on-site maintenance, technical service, equipment installations, and commissioning

Conduct operator and maintenance training to support smooth handover of equipment

Prepare technical documentation, standard work procedures, and detailed job instructions

Carry out project and site risk assessments, ensuring full OHSA compliance

Perform basic mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical fault finding

Monitor and control project budgets, costs, and deadlines to keep everything on track

WHAT YOU BRING

National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or higher

3–5 years’ practical experience in a similar service or project environment (advantageous)

Proven ability to work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines

Strong multitasking and organisational skills

Confident, clear communication and solid interpersonal skills

High attention to detail and a methodical approach to work

Experience managing third-party contractors and client relationships

Exposure to project coordination and small team management

Independent, accountable working style – someone who owns their tasks

Computer literacy: Google Suite, MS Office, SolidWorks, MS Projects

Own transport and willingness to travel to client sites as needed
