Job Description:
The Payroll Manager will be responsible for overseeing and directing payroll procedures, ensuring compliance with laws and tax obligations, supervising the payroll team, and maintaining accurate payroll records.
Job Requirements:
- BCom Finance or related qualification
- Solid Payroll experience
- Experience in managing a team
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong Accounting skills and Finance competency
- Advanced Payroll Tax knowledge and proven experience
- Strong solid understanding of relevant tax legislation and employment conditions
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct payroll procedures
- Manage compliance with applicable laws and payroll tax obligations
- Supervise and coach payroll team.
- Oversee correctness of input and monthly salary payments.
- Manage and control payroll database.
- Processing terminations for all the companies.
- Ensuring that day-to-day functions of payroll are performed while guiding the payroll team.
- Liaison with SA Revenue Services in respect of all employee tax issues.
- Annual payroll audit.ÂÂ
- Implementing and reviewing all systems and procedures in respect of payroll.
- Collaborate with Human Resources (HR) and accounting teams
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports
- Oversee processing of payroll changes (e.g. new hires, terminations, raises) and system upgrades
