We are currently seeking for a Pricing Controller / Estimator to join our growing team and play a key role in delivering competitive, accurate, and client-winning quotations across sea, air, and road freight.
Position Overview
The Pricing Controller / Estimator is a commercially critical role responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and compiling accurate freight rate quotations across all modes of transport for both import and export shipments. The successful candidate will serve as a vital link between our clients, service providers, and internal operations teams — ensuring that every quotation reflects our commitment to competitiveness, accuracy, and world-class client service.
Key Responsibilities
•Source and obtain competitive freight rates from shipping lines, airlines, co-loaders, road transporters, and subcontractors across all modes of transport.
•Negotiate favourable rates with service providers to ensure VDM Cargo Solutions remains commercially competitive in the market.
•Prepare and generate accurate, professional, and timely quotations for import and export shipments across sea, air, and road freight.
•Acknowledge all Requests for Quotation (RFQs) received from clients promptly and provide regular, proactive updates throughout the quotation process.
•Liaise with the customs department regarding HS Code classifications and duty confirmations where applicable.
•Ensure the seamless and accurate handover of successful quotations to the operations team for execution.
•Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with both clients and service providers.
•Monitor market rate trends and maintain up-to-date knowledge of freight rate fluctuations across all transport modes.
•Ensure all quotations are compliant with applicable INCOTERMS, trade regulations, and company pricing policies.
•Maintain accurate records of all quotations, rate sheets, and correspondence within the company’s systems.
