Site Manager
A Site Manager role that keeps everything running smoothly, safe and ready for production. This position focuses on facilities, machinery and equipment maintenance, making sure the site can support reliable cosmetic manufacturing every day.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is centred on general building maintenance, repairs and production equipment care within a busy cosmetics warehouse/production environment. You’ll take responsibility for the planned maintenance schedule, keeping it up to date and ensuring work is completed on time and to standard.
Key focus areas include
- Overseeing facilities maintenance and repairs
- Maintaining production machinery and equipment, including automation such as bottle filling machines
- Coordinating and maintaining 3rd party suppliers and service providers
- Running and monitoring the planned maintenance schedule
- Supporting safe, healthy and values-driven working conditions across the site
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Matric
- 2–5 years’ experience in a supervisory / leadership role, leading multi-disciplined teams
- Experience in a warehouse or production environment; exposure to cosmetic machinery is a plus
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to follow up and provide clear feedback
- Proven problem-solving ability and confidence to multitask in a fast-paced setting
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English; other South African languages are an advantage
- Strong computer literacy, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Willingness to be flexible and available after hours when required
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
NICE TO HAVE
Relevant post-school technical or facilities-related course/qualification
Pneumatic experience
Experience on in-house automation machinery (such as bottle filling machines and similar equipment)
