Position Summary

The Marketing Manager: Superdry will be required to build the brand through marketing at all customer contact points and to direct and control all marketing activities to support the brand vision and strategy in line with the business strategy. You will be responsible for developing, implementing and executing strategic marketing plans for the brand in order to build the brand in the market and build our customer base.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build and communicate a long term marketing strategy in collaboration with the Brand Manager, aligned to principal/regional/global strategy, expectations & guidelines.
  • Develop and align the SA Brand marketing strategy and brand plans to deliver the quarterly and annual brand objectives and goals as agreed and expressed in the Budget.
  • Work closely with the Brand Manager to support seasonal campaigns and sales activities.
  • Foster an excellent working relationship with the Brand Principal.
  • Devise annual marketing plans flowing from corporate objectives and merchandising and operations plans.
  • Plan and execute all external communication (digital, radio, print, PR, point of sale, events, customer presentations, etc.) as well as internal communication (catalogues, sales tools, intranet, newsletters, reviews).
  • Monitor and report on marketplace trends regarding marketing strategies and competitors.
  • Identify and manage brand ambassadors.
  • Work with stakeholders, staff and suppliers to maintain communication consistency at all customer and staff touch points.
  • Review of media choices and liaise with stakeholders and suppliers to ensure best advertising ROI.
  • Manage key supplier relationships including advertising and media agencies as well as print, production and design houses.
  • Partner closely with Retail Ops and Key Account Mangers to design and develop in store solutions for promotional activities and visual merchandising campaigns and material.
  • Develop and maintain marketing budgets within marketing categories.
  • Maintain and guide regular research activities.
  • Direct customer research activities in store and the general marketplace.
  • Maximise productivity of marketing staff by guiding, motivating and managing performance.
  • Maintain relations and flow of communications with the Merchandise and Operations Department.
  • Ensure all marketing activities and outputs are customer orientated and lead to a more involved, informed and improved customer experience.

Education Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Marketing Management or related

Experience Requirements

  • At least 5 years relevant experience in marketing management of established retail/fashion brand/s in a high performance environment
