Front End Software Design Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Front-End Software Design Engineer with a strong background in software UI/UX design to join our Cape Town team. This role focuses on designing intuitive, scalable, and beautiful user interfaces for enterprise-grade applications. While primarily design-focused, development knowledge is essential to bridge the gap between design and implementation. Travel Requirement: Occasional travel to U.S. and Indian offices Employment Type: Full-time 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design of modern, user-centric interfaces using tools like Figma.

• Collaborate closely with backend, product, and QA teams to ensure pixel-perfect implementation.

• Translate conceptual ideas into wireframes and high-fidelity designs.

• Assist developers by creating reusable design components and reviewing front-end code where applicable.

• Participate in cross-team collaboration through occasional international travel. 

Minimum Requirements

• Must be based in Cape Town and possess a valid driver’s license.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Design, or a related field; OR 3–5 years of proven experience in software UI/UX design.

• Deep understanding of front-end technologies, including:

o HTML/CSS

o JavaScript frameworks

o Component-based front-end architectures

• Experience with Figma or equivalent design tools.

• Working knowledge of SQL Server.

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus)

• Exposure to:

o Linux

o Python

o GPT-based interfaces
