SPECIFICATION

Our client, a well-established manufacturing company specialising in foam products, is looking to employ a dynamic and motivated Sales Representative that will market and sell (B2B) the company’s products and services directly to prospective clients while building and maintaining healthy, long-term relationship with them. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop profitable new business opportunities while achieving sales targets;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients;
  • Develop new sales leads and build a database of potential clients;
  • Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations tailored to customer needs;
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to close deals successfully;
  • Travel daily within the KZN province to meet clients and promote the company’s products;
  • Work closely with internal team, including logistics and production, to ensure timely delivery of products;
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategies;
  • Prepare and submit sales reports, forecasts, and performance data;
  • Attend industry events, trade shows and networking opportunities;
  • Keep up to-date records for all existing and prospective client interactions on company’s systems.
  • Prepare detailed and professional written proposals and quotations where applicable;
  • Ensure a professional sales approach is followed at all times;

 

Key Requirements

  • Grade 12 
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel daily within the KZN area
  • Experience in B2B sales, preferably within the manufacturing industry
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment and handle physical tasks as needed
  • Physically fit to meet job demands
  • Well-mannered, outgoing, and able to build strong relationships with customers
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable to working independently
  • Display an understanding and knowledge of the product and industry
  • Business Writing skills
  • Confident communicator both over the phone and in writing
  • Strong sales approach including negotiating, handling objections and closing a deal
  • The ability to resolve problems with clients and arrive at decisions which allow the business to move forward
  • Actively participate in team meetings and use your market knowledge to sell products effectively
  • Ability to work in team orientated environment and contribute in a positive manner
  • Ability to work independently and self-managed
  • Show Initiative and be professional at all times
  • Integrity, responsibility and accountability to be displayed during all times
  • Ability to meet deadlines within time constraints
  • Ability to be effective in a pressurised environment
