Job Details

The main purpose of the role is to support sound financial decision-making by ensuring that the organisation has accurate, timely and reliable financial information. Furthermore, this role exists to strengthen financial governance, contribute to long-term stability and provide meaningful insights that guide strategic and operational planning. 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze monthly management reports
  • Monitor daily financial transactions and ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles
  • Assist in managing accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Oversee and reconcile bank statements, credit card payments and petty cash
  • Collaborate with the management team to identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue growth
  • Support the annual audit process and ensure compliance with accounting standards
  • Provide financial guidance and support to department heads and managers
  • Assist in developing, implementing and maintaining financial policies and procedures
  • Perform regular financial analysis to identify variances and make strategic recommendations 
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies and procedures
  • Assist in preparing financial forecasts, budget, investment analysis and cash-flow management 
  • Collaborate with external partners, such as suppliers and auditors to maintain strong working relationships

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Min of two years’ experience in a similar financial role within the hospitality industry 
  • Solid understanding of financial principles and accounting practices
  • Proficiency in financial software, such as Excel and other MS Office applications
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independantly and as part of a team
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships
  • Ability to work in a fast-pace and deadline driven environment
