Job Details

A bolt and nut manufacuting company in Johannesburg, is seeking both a Day Shift and Night Shift Packaging Manager to lead their Packing & Assembly Department. This positions are key to improving operational efficiency – transitioning from manual processes to a structured, semi-automated environment.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and manage packing and assembly operations to meet order fulfilment targets.
  • Allocate resources effectively and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and SOP standards.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and efficient workspaces aligned with 5S principles.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy and correct labelling.
  • Monitor workflow, equipment, and team performance to identify and resolve issues.
  • Track and report on key performance metrics to support continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth material flow and timely dispatch.
  • Participate in operational planning and lead teams through change initiatives.
  • Recommend process improvements and support automation initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and ISO 9001 standards.

 Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric certificate
  • Relevant certificate or diploma in Supply Chain or Warehouse Management.
  • National Diploma in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Production Engineering will be an advantage
  • 5 – 8 years’ experience in packaging or warehouse operations.
  • 3+ years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Proficient in Excel and warehouse systems.
  • Experience in manufacturing, automative or engineering will be an advantage.
