Trailer Mechanic / Technician – Komatipoort

A career opportunity exists at RTG TECHNICAL SERVICES, (Amalgamated Bulk), KOMATIPOORT for the position of:

Qualified Diesel Mechanic – (2 Vacancies)

Job Summary (not limited to):

• Carry out services and repairs on trailers, as per the OEM specifications.
• Attend to breakdowns in depot, on the road, normal and after hours.
• Inspection of trailers before/after work is performed.
• Accurate completion of job cards and workshop applications.
• Maintain a high level of technical serviceability of the trailer section by quality work and preventative maintenance in conjunction with the ISO standard.
• Responsible for timely prioritization of all operational requests, recognizing technical deficiencies, and implementing effective solutions in conjunction with the foreman and workshop manager.

Requirement:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in this specific field.
• Diesel Mechanic – recognised trade certificate.
• Grade 12 certificate.
• Must have welding experience.
• Must have auto electrical experience.
• Valid driver’s license (applicants without a driver’s license will not be considered)
• Own vehicle required to travel from home to work.
• Must reside in the KOMATIPOORT area / willing to relocate
• Must be fluent in English.
• Computer literate.
• Contactable references.
• No criminal record
