PROJECT ENGINEER

Picture this: diving into high-stakes engineering projects that power massive mining operations and industrial plants, blending sharp technical design with real-world site action. You’ll handle everything from crafting clever electrical systems to troubleshooting on dusty sites in places like Madagascar, making sure every project hits the mark on time and budget.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Get hands-on with the full project lifecycle, from initial designs to final handover.

Whip up electrical and control system designs tailored for tough mining and industrial setups, complete with drawings, specs, and docs that nail compliance to IEC standards and client needs

Interface seamlessly with mechanical elements to create integrated solutions that stand up to the harshest environments

Crunch cost estimates, hunt down supplier quotes, and build rock-solid tender docs to land competitive bids

Drive procurement like a pro – source gear, chase timelines, and sort any supply hiccups to keep projects rolling

Master project schedules using tools like MS Project, rally teams and stakeholders, and spot risks before they derail progress

Chat directly with clients at meetings, deliver clear technical insights, and keep everyone happy through smooth execution

Jump into site commissioning – install, test, troubleshoot live systems during shutdowns, and wrap up with polished handover packs

Embrace the travel: head to operational plants in Madagascar, adapt to site vibes, and thrive in the buzz of real engineering action

REQUIREMENTS

Bring your engineering edge and love for the mining world’s gritty challenges.

Solid background in electrical or control systems engineering, with a knack for industrial and mining applications

Experience turning ideas into technical designs, drawings, and compliant documentation

Proven skills in costing, tendering, and procurement – you’ve sourced suppliers and managed orders end-to-end

Comfortable with project tools like MS Project for scheduling and coordination

Hands-on commissioning know-how, including site testing, troubleshooting, and handover in plant environments

Willingness to travel, especially to Madagascar sites, and handle shutdown-period intensity

Strong communicator who builds rapport with clients, teams, and suppliers

Adaptable mindset ready for office design sprints and field-based problem-solving

Ready to engineer projects that keep mining giants humming? Let’s make it happen.
