About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and internationally exposed Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) with strong technical accounting expertise and proven experience managing financials for offshore/ international companies and cross-border entities.
This role is ideally suited to a finance professional who is comfortable operating within an international group structure, navigating different jurisdictions, currencies, and reporting requirements, while ensuring full compliance with IFRS and global best practices.
The role demands exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical capability, and the ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the full financial function for multiple companies, including international and offshore entities.
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts, consolidated reports, and statutory financial statements across jurisdictions.
- Calculation of company income tax and deferred tax in accordance with IFRS, South African tax legislation, and applicable international tax and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee foreign currency transactions, intercompany balances, and group consolidations.
- Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger integrity, and robust financial controls across all entities.
- Coordinate and manage local and international audits, liaising with auditors, advisors, and regulatory bodies.
- Oversee cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for both local and offshore operations.
- Provide strategic financial insights and decision support to executive management.
- Support the continuous improvement of finance processes, systems, and reporting structures within an international context.
Minimum Job Requirements
- CA(SA) designation (essential).
- Honours degree in Accounting Sciences (essential).
- Minimum of 5–7 years’ post-articles experience in senior accounting or financial management roles.
- Demonstrated experience managing offshore or international companies, including cross-border reporting and compliance
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS, group consolidations, and international tax considerations.
- Proven experience working with multi-entity and multi-currency environments.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent problemâsolving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
