Organise new starter documentation, systems access, and welcome packs
Run meet-and-greets and check-ins so new employees feel supported, not lost in the chaos
Compensation & Benefits
Administer payroll input, bonuses, and benefit enrolments accurately and timeously
Serve as a go-to contact for benefits queries and guidance on available options
Help maintain fair, consistent application of salary and benefits practices
Compliance & Policy Management
Ensure adherence to labour laws, regulations, and internal policies
Maintain and update employee handbooks and policies as legislation or practices evolve
Support managers with policy interpretation and practical application
HR Data, Reporting & Insights
Maintain accurate employee records in HR systems (e.g. ESS) as the “single source of truth”
Prepare HR reports on absenteeism, leave patterns, and related metrics
Spot trends and flag issues early, especially around absenteeism and potential leave abuse
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
Embed DEI principles into recruitment, onboarding, and day-to-day people practices
Monitor DEI metrics and support equitable hiring and progression decisions
Contribute to inclusion initiatives that ensure all voices feel heard and respected
KEY METRIC
Monitor absenteeism rates and highlight patterns that may signal dissatisfaction, burnout, or health concerns, helping drive proactive interventions
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Proven experience as an HR Generalist/HR Specialist, with strong exposure to recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention
Solid knowledge of HR best practice and employment legislation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities
Highly organised, detail-focused, and comfortable juggling multiple deadlines

Creative, people-focused, approachable, emotionally intelligent, and discreet
High integrity, professionalism, and respect for confidentiality
