Primary Purpose of the Job

It is to manage the unit through setting and maintaining service delivery standards. It is his/her responsibility to lead, motivate and train staff. Implement and maintain operational controls in line/within budgetary requirements. The project manager might be responsible for more than one unit.

Working Relationships

Project Manager works very closely with his/her subordinate staff members and line manager. S/he should be in constant communication with the main client to be aligned of unit(s) catering expectations.

Qualifications

Matric

National Diploma in Hospitality Management or any relevant tertiary qualification advantageous

Minimum of 5 years management experience in a similar role

Previous experience on Menutec would be advantageous

Drivers licence & own vehicle

 

Specialist knowledge

Sound business acumen.

Experience in high quality mass production.

Previous experience in the food service industry essential.

Operational Standards: Performance management, financial analysis, computer proficiency & human resources.

Entrepreneurial skills: Strategic management, Outcome focus & productivity.

Interpersonal Skills: Client/customer interface, managing group process, communication skills (verbal and written) & organizational skills.

Flexibility with respect to working hours.

Ability to build and maintain a motivated team in a dynamic

Core Responsibilities

Provide effective leadership to subordinates to achieve the organisation’s vision

Human Resources Management (Including E.R, Training and Development)

Ensure smooth running of Biometrics system and agreed compliance

Oversee all cash management (control of debtors, stick checks and cash checks).

Develop medium and long-term strategies to grow business in conjunction with the District Manager

Comply with the division’s budgetary requirements within the financial guidelines

Understand and maintain all financial aspects of the business – budgeting, forecasting and monthly results

Ensure cash spend is limited

Ensure all SOP’s under their control are updated regularly

Maintain and improve operational standards as agreed

Ensure Quality Control is in accordance with the company standards

Drive innovation and promotion

Ensure company image is projected through excellent client relationships, quality of service, product and productivity

Management of all administration, finances, debtors, budgets, etc.
