At Bioco Crops we believe that the next big step in addressing food security and safe food is in agricultural biostimulants. These products are used in crop production to mitigate abiotic stress and thus enhance plant growth, health and productivity.

Role Description

This is full-time on site role for an agronomist, located in Bloemhof. The agronomist will be responsible for conducting research, analyzing soil and plant data, developing strategies for improved crop production, and advising on best practices for broadacre and irrigation farming. Daily tasks will include field visits, sample collection, data analysis, and the application of biostimulant and other agricultural treatments.

Qualifications

• Background in Soil Science and Agriculture
• Experience with broad acre and irrigation farming
• Excellent analytical and problem-soving abilities
• Ability to work independently and on-site in various field conditions
• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Soil Science, Agriculture, or a related field
• Experience with biostimulants or similar agricultural products is a plus
• Ecellent written and verbal communications skills in both Afrikaans and English
