Consulmet (Pty) Ltd is looking for an Administration Officer to be based in Angola.

 

The main function of this role is to support Exco by attending to secretarial activities and to attend to general office and administrative support functions.

The other functions of this role include but are not limited to:

Coordinate the project’s recruitment process including creating job adverts, interviewing candidates, arranging assessments, performing employee checks, and assisting in getting contracts signedFiling and Record Control;

Documentation management – Maintaining and capturing of information and documents both electronically and in hard copy – Attending to filing and paperwork in the office – neatly, in order and always easily accessible when needed;

Perform data capturing function;

Schedule appointments and arrange travel, accommodation and mealsHandling phone calls in a professional manner and following mandated policies;

Answering, screening, and forwarding telephone calls;

Provide secretarial support to the senior team relating to diary management, arranging meetings, booking meeting rooms etc.Order & manage company stationery & other ad-hoc office requirements;

Perform general office and ad hoc administration duties;

Report any safety, security environmental and production incident to relevant person (e.g., Plant Foreman, Safety Representative, Safety Officer);

Oversee Housekeeping and cleaning of office areas;

Typing of documentation. Complete typing assignments for excoFax documents, compile Emails and assist with photocopying;

Order and keep stationary for team;

Compile minutes and agendas to comply with set format and target dates.

The candidate in this role will be permanently based in Angola on a rotation of two months on and two weeks off. 

A valid passport, vaccination book, clear bill of health and membership to a medical scheme are required. 

A clear criminal record is required.

Qualifications: Grade 12.

Experience: Minimum: 5 years mining experience of which at least 3 years on senior management level
