We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer Assistant to join our team in the meat market department. The ideal candidate will support the team in, procurement, and managing inventory of meat products.  Proficiency in office software such as MS Word, Excel, email, and SAP is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support: Support the Buyer in purchasing meat products from suppliers.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of inventory.
  • Supplier Coordination: Communicate with suppliers to confirm orders, delivery schedules, and resolve any issues.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory, and supplier information using MS Word, Excel, and SAP.
  • Administrative Support: Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and email correspondence.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in business, supply chain management, or related fields are a plus.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a procurement or buyer assistant role, preferably in the meat market or food industry.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, email, and SAP.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of meat products and industry standards.
  • Experience with inventory management systems.
