Overview:

We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a full-time position to provide strategic financial leadership while mentoring and developing the finance team within a dynamic start-up environment. The ideal candidate must be a qualified CA with at least 4 years post article experience.  Significant exposure to strategic financial management, manufacturing, mining, logistics or FMCG industries and high-growth environments. They will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, ensuring compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and governance practices. The successful candidate will play a strategic role in strengthening the company’s financial position by providing timely insights, intelligence, and analysis to the board and stakeholders, while fostering efficiency, innovation, and sustainable growth. The successful candidate will also be required to coach and mentor fellow team members and upskill from a technical, strategic and leadership perspective.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of Financial Results
  • Various Control and Systems implementation and review
  • Tax compliance and all matters surrounding company tax
  • Overall management of budgeting and reforecasting process
  • Management Account preparation
  • Various operational report
  • Implementation and review of internal controls and processes
  • Enhancement of systems
  • Communication with suppliers, customers and other stakeholders
  • Produce and present monthly financial reports for/to relevant stakeholders and executives
  • Produce annual financial reports and financial statements in terms of IFRS to agreed time scales to comply with the requirements of the company
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements relating to financial control, financial management and accounting. Ensure implementation and adherence to finance policies, procedures and systems across all territories
  • Engage with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance. Ensure appropriate external audit arrangements are in place and manage the audit process
  • Financial Modelling/Scenario Analysis
