Job Description:

As a Desktop Publisher, you will be responsible for creating and formatting various types of documents, including brochures, manuals, catalogs, and newsletters. You will work closely with our marketing and design teams to ensure that all materials are visually appealing, error-free, and delivered within deadlines. The successful candidate must have a strong eye for design, excellent technical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Your responsibilities will encompass:

• Format and layout documents according to brand guidelines
• Create visually appealing graphics, images, and illustrations to enhance documents
• Proofread and edit documents for grammar, spelling, and consistency
• Collaborate with marketing and design teams to ensure brand consistency across all materials
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize workload
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in desktop publishing
• Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy and adherence to corporate standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, journalism, or a related field will be advantageous
• Proven experience as a Desktop Publisher or a similar role
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Knowledge of typography, layout, and color theory
• Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
• Ability to work on both Mac and PC platforms
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with print production and prepress processes
• Know the difference between RGB – CMYK & Pantone
• Experience in Litho & Digital Printing Industry
• Highly skilled in Pitstop
• Ability to work under pressure
• Attention to detail whilst working quickly
• Layout experience in Adobe CC beneficial
• Setting up & Correcting files for print – getting files REPRO ready
• Knowledge in packaging & dielines
• Large format printing knowledge essential
• Vehicle branding knowledge beneficial
